Volunteer

Many active volunteer groups within our organization concentrate their efforts on separate and important aspects of FLC's mission.

  • The Save Our Forest group plants and cares for trees and shrubs downtown and throughout the area, and performs monthly "Adopt-a-Highway" clean-up duties.

  • The Trails Council maintains a park and extensive hiking and riding trails on Fallbrook Public Utility District and San Diego County lands along the Santa Margarita River.

  • The Land Management team, Native Plant & Wildflower Team, and Invasive Plant team all continue the work of planting, maintaining and re-vegetating the open space preserves with native plants, trees and shrubs, as well as fencing and trail building.

  • Volunteer Projects on FLC Preserves

Volunteers are also needed for event planning and administrative duties, light construction work, special mailings and many other fund-raising endeavors.  In other words, our most important partner is YOU, the willing volunteer.

Each year since 2001, those who have done outstanding work on behalf of the FLC have been honored with a "Gem of a Volunteer" award.
